Mission profile for short term experiment.

Hello dear.

 

I am processing about experiments all the stress and another parameters for calculate reliability based on FIDES. 

However, I saw in the formula they set up for 1 year mission profile. How can I do with this equation If I experiments and collect data only 1months stress datapoint.

FIT and requirement interpretation

Hello everyone, I'm feeling a little bit confused with the following problem:

I'm analyzing very small duration phases: their sum is little less than 3 minutes and I obtain a FIT near to 45000. When I add another phase (stocking) with a larger duration(ex. 1000 hours), the resulting FIT can be approximated to the FIT of the phase of 1000 hours (i.e. near to 10 FIT) and I understand this because its weight is bigger than the others.

Mission profile Medium haul civil aircraft, in the wing

Dear all,

I am wondering if there exists a mission profile for medium haul civil aircraft "in the wing" area. The application I have in mind is electromechanical actuation and I would like to determine the reliabilty FIT of electrical components if they were to operate in this environment.

FIDES 2009 guide .pdf has a mission profile for "Medium haul civil aircraft. computer in avionics bay" and am wondering if there is an equivalent onne for "Medium haul civil aircraft in the wing"?

Accounting temp. variation of multiple components in the life profile

I need help in setting up life profile of a circuit borad (having hundreds of components of different types viz. passive, active, analog, digital, mixed signal etc.) in a housing (also called sub-assembly) for following condition;

1. Ambient temp. of housing is 55 degC controllable with in +/- 2 degC (delta-T as 4 degC) range duirng operating as well as non-operating phases.

Life profile: Many thermal amaplitude of the cycle

Hello, first thank for your site, and for your forum it is very interresting.Question:PLC(Automate Programmable) is composed of many Input/Ouput Card and  CPU.Concerning the card, the Failure rate  was calculated using model of IEC 62308 by taking into account the external T° = 23°C and internal T° ( inside cubicle that containe the IO card and the CPU)  =30°c   and the ( thermal amplitude of the cycle) Delta T=15°C.Now the PLC is functionning in an environnement that the external T° is variable that is to say in a day the external T° can vary from 22° to 28°C and some times it reach 34°C.

Pressure sensitivity

Hi,I plan to design a circuit (off board) that works in a vacuum cell. I guess that sealed components like electrolytics capacitors are not happy in this conditions. Moreover, the moisture sensitivity can be worse with pressure cycling. On the other hand, non-pressurized electronics may have been analysed for avionics needs. I have not any knowledge on this topic. Should I take in account this constraint, and how?Best regardsLaurent
