Fides LAB Feedback: Only Parts count stress method ?

Hello FIDES users, 

 

Now I'm trying to test FIDES LAB 1.5.2 beta.  For "Macro family" of "COMPONENTS" section, I can select only "Parts-count" and other options (for example, "Electronic components") are not shown.  "Electronic components" is preferrable for detailed analysis.

 

Tool version : 1.5.2beta

Error detected : Only "Parts-count" is shown in "Macro family" of "COMPONENTS" section

FIDES LAB Feedback: Parts count for Hermetic Diode/Transistor

For PART section using "Parts-count" in Macro family, when hermetic diodes / transistors are selected, "Power type" input is required.  FIDES Guide 2022/2009 parts-count method does not require the power type for hermetic diodes/transistors.

Fides LAB Feedback: Calculation results comparison (Parts-count)

Using parts-count method, I compared calculation results of FIDESLAB 1.5.2beta and FIDESExperTool.  Calculation conditions are as follows.

(1) Under the same mission profile.

(2) Using the same factors: pi-PM, pi-LF, pi-PM, pi-application, pi-ruggedising.

(3) For parts-count method, there are no differences between FIDES 2009 and FIDES 2022.

 

Calculations performed under identical conditions should yield identical results, but in practice, significant differences were found depending on the type of part.

 

I would like to send FIDES website the electronic file containing the calculation results, but e-mail address is not shown on the website.  Please let me know the e-mail address.

I think I have identified the problem and I plead guilty! The help section is not accessible n the 1.5.2 Beta, i hope to update the website this sunday by uploading the 1.5.3 Beta

To be able to add components within a nomenclature in FIDES LAB, it is necessary to store them in a sub assembly.

Here is an example of how the interface changes depending on whether you are at the root of the project or within a container that allows you to enter components. Hope this will fix your problem.

FIDES Lab Feedback: Power MOSFET

For power MOSFET using "COMPONENT" section, "Vrated" and "Vapplied" are required to input (please see attached screenshot).  According to FIDES 2022, Vrated and Vapplied are required for signal diodes only.  I think Vrated and Vapplied are not required for power MOSFETS.

P.S.  Thank you for your advice!  Now I can input detailed component data using "subassembly" category.

FIDES Lab Feedback: Ceramic Capacitor

Hello,

 

For input capacitance data of ceramic capacitors, only unit "F" is acceped.  Since ceramic capacitor capacitance is often specified in "uF", "nF", or "pF", please ensure that capacitance units other than "F" can also be selected.
