With the new release of the FIDES Guide last year, a new Odyssey begin in 2010 for FIDES.
Do you know the link betwenn A.Clarke′s novel and FIDES ? In the first episode of the movie (2001, A Space Odyssey, from Stanley Kubrick), HAL ask Dave to go outside of the spaceship because an FMECA he has just done predict a failure. If Dave have had FIDES in his luggage, he would have been able to understand that HAL was trapping him. Unfortunatly for Dave, in 2001 FIDES was not available. Of course, now in 2010, with the 2009 release of FIDES, space travel are much safer.
