Connector - temperature rise

Dear Everybody,

I try to define the "insert temperature rise" for the connectors. The formula is simple, Delta T = a * Icontact1.85.
But to determine "a", we need the gauge, or the section in square millimeters. I have got a connector, who are a half pair soldered on a printed circuit, and the other half pair soldered on an another printed circuit. And in this case, we have not got the gauge. When can I calculate the temparature rise.

Regards.

Super-capacitors

Hello Fides,

In a immediate or a distant future, do you planed to consider Super Capacitor in the Fides models ?
These components are more and more often used in new transportation systems.
Their internal construction is different from the capacitors represent in Fides, so useless for these capacitors.

Thanks

Integrated circuit

Dear everybody,

When I try to complete the sheet "Input - component", there is an input data named "rise to temperature". And for the integrated circuit, I don′t know how I can calculate this data. There is nothing on the data sheet which allow me to complete it. Where can I find a data, or any other data? Is it an important data for the result?

Thank you very much for you help.

Varnish & Humidity

Hello,

I have got 2 questions for you today !

My electronic board is varnished to protect it against humidity. The varnish cover all the component too, except the connectors. Is it already taken into account in the FIDES guide, or is there a way to model it ?

I would like to know the raisons of PIRH = 0 while the component is up (operating). I don′t clearly understand this point.

Thank for your support.
